Why Mental Health & Wellbeing Training?

The cost to UK employers is estimated at £56 Billion in the UK, this figure is taken from the Deloitte report 2022. The biggest cost isn't absence but in fact through presenteeism.
For every £1 invested in employee assistance programmes, the business return ranges from £3to £8.

Paul Farmer, Chief Executive of mental health charity, Mind, says
“The cost of failing to address mental health in the workplace is clear. Workplace mental health should be a priority for organisations across the UK.”

Promoting positive mental health is in the best interests of all business leaders. Happy and supported employees are able to perform far better, not only providing savings in terms of sick leave, but also maximising productivity. To reduce the cost of mental health in your organisation the evidence suggests that investing in training and support programmes is the easiest way to achieve this.

To ensure your business does not miss opportunities to prevent and support poor mental health invest in our comprehensive workplace training and support programmes to give your staff access to specialist guidance, information and support for positive mental health and wellbeing by Registered Mental Health Nurses.

Debriefing After Serious and Unexpected Events
Evidence shows that teams that debrief to learn, regularly perform better using the learning gained than those who do not undertake debriefing.
After a serious and unexpected incidence there is a need for teams to debrief in a safe and held manner to process the impact of the event and to consider the lessons that can be taken from the event.
Mindmaps Wellbeing has experienced clinicians who can support your team to share their experience of an event and work with them to consider any learning and how that might be taken forward to reduce recurrence and to improve service delivery.
